DANNY MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER

I’M already hearing people say it’s make or break for Jose Mourinho this season, but they’ve got such short memories.

His job isn’t on the line. He doesn’t have to win the title to stay at Old Trafford. The man won two trophies in his first season, for God’s sake, and got United into the Champions League.

He’s only just started, and is clearly building a team for the future. Of course there are expectations because of who he is and what he’s done in his career, but he’s had a good start, and his first year has given him time.

I look at his signings so far, and it’s clear what he’s doing. He wants to build a big, powerful team that will strike a little bit of fear into every opponent who faces them.

That’s what Mourinho (right) has done at every other club, and I’m certain he’ll be given the time to do it in Manchester.
