Toon thumping still upsets Poch

HUGO LLORIS is in Toon to face Newcastle today – but he is still smarting from a 5-1 hammering there two seasons ago.

The France captain was Tottenham’s keeper in May 2016 when relegated Newcastle thrashed Spurs at St James’ Park.

It cost Spurs the runners-up spot in the Premier League and allowed Arsenal to overtake them.

Lloris said: “I still remember the feeling on that day. It was terrible, just terrible. If you ask the manager Mauricio Pochettino about that day, he will get upset.

“I don’t know if it was my worst moment as a Tottenham player, but it is certainly one of them.

“I still cannot explain why it happened, but we will be working hard to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

“It was a bad feeling at the time, but, in the long run, that day helped us
