Louise has HIS troubled love match with wife gripped fans all summer. friends But one of Jamie Redknapp‘s close has told me the handsome Sky Sports football pundit is back on the market – and is set to call time on his marriage for good. The former Liverpool captain, 44, arrived at the awards with best buddies in tow – including 36, Tamara Ecclestone’s hubby Jay Rutland, who told me: “He is up for grabs.” Jamie was seen partying with model Molly Ann Abbott, which did not impress estranged wife Louise, 42, who I’m told wants a divorce by the end of the year. My source says: “It’s 100 per cent over.” Let singledom commence. WEDDING bells could soon be ringing for Stormzy, who tells me he is set to propose to girlfriend Maya Jama.
The rapper couldn’t stop gushing about the beautiful TV star as he swigged booze at this year’s GQ Men of the Year awards.
After picking up his gong for Copper Dog Whisky Solo Artist, he told me: “I’m still so young but I want to propose, it’s going to happen and I will do it right.”
Stormzy, 24, and Maya, who presents 4Music, have been dating for two years.
Earlier this year Maya joked that she would be getting married to the grime star during a skit for online show First Heat – and now her dream may be coming true.
Stormzy, real name Michael Owuo Jnr, tells me he is incredibly “proud” of the 22-year-old, who has become a YouTube sensation and impressed TV bosses when she appeared on Loose Women.
He adds: “She is so sick, she is the best.” Sick meaning amazing (I’m sure she doesn’t want to make him vom).
Stormzy was handed his award by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who the rapper thinks “is an absolute G” and a “dude”. Quite different to the words he used for Theresa May, who he called a “paigon” – an untrustworthy individual – when collecting his award.
Tony Blair’s former spin doctor Alastair Campbell misconstrued Stormzy’s lingo and tweeted that he thought he heard “pig”, which I’m sure raised a few squeals... Liam Gallagher recalled a moment with boxer Anthony Joshua saying: “I said to him before, ‘I hope you smash everyone to smithereens’.” To which Anthony replied: “Smitherf ****** reens, what the f*** is that
about, man?” What a joker.
All the celebs were given personal make-up artists but Courtney Love took only 15 minutes to do hers. Probs for the best, as it was on the floor by the end of the night. Celebrities were carefully guarding their GQ goodie bags: membership to The Ivy, a Hugo Boss watch, a stay at the Craigellachie Hotel, luxury facials and private jet flights. I wonder how many of those will end up on eBay...
