Body of croc death Brit to be sent home

- BY TANYA DUTTA in Arugam Beach, Sri Lanka

THE body of a British man killed by a crocodile in Sri Lanka will be flown home this week.

Former school friends who were staying with Paul McClean, 24, are expected to accompany his body after they left the East Beach Surf Resort.

Financial Times reporter Paul, of Thames Ditton, Surrey, had just had a surf lesson when he was attacked beside a lagoon.

Surf instructor Fawas Lafeer said: “He went to the toilet along the bushes. He was just metres from the beach but was behind rocks so no one saw him go into the water.”
