NHS HEROES DESERVE 3.9% RISE

-

LAST week on the bus home I had to help an old lady who slipped trying to get on board. She hit her head on the pavement and got a nasty cut that bled profusely.

I got her to a seat and stopped the blood with my hanky. The bus driver called an ambulance and passengers disembarked. Two wonderful paramedics gave her treatment before taking her to hospital. But some NHS staff have seen 14 per cent real-term pay cuts under the Tories. That’s why these everyday heroes need a 3.9 per cent pay rise – they deserve every last penny. nurse in the country. Then she spent an extra £1billion of your money buying off the DUP to cling to power.

This week May rigged Parliament by ensuring she has a Tory majority on all select committees that scrutinise her, and sweeping powers that will enable her to change laws without Parliament’s approval.

This is someone who lost her government majority, lost the confidence of her party and lost credibility among the public.

Now, after she faced defeat in a Labour opposition day debate when the DUP said they’d back us, she’s come up with another cunning plan. Tory MPs won’t vote in opposition day motions.

She’s already made sure there’s no Queen’s Speech next year because she’s worried about being defeated again.

This really is a zombie government, staggering on with no leadership, no support and no clue how to run Britain.
