Brit tourist’s knife horror on night out
A BRITISH man was stabbed and left for dead by a mugger while on holiday in Tenerife.
Thomas Hanlon, 32, was yesterday recovering in hospital after being knifed in the stomach during the attack in the resort of Playa de las Americas.
He was attacked in the early hours of Friday and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance after he was found lying unconscious in the street.
A National Police spokesman said: “The motive for this attack was robbery. Luckily the victim, who is here on holiday, is now out of danger.”
Playa de las Americas is known for its nightlife.
