GUNNERS CAN WIN TODAY, BUT ONLY IF SANCHEZ ISN’T SULKING

-

SO MUCH has been said about Sadio Mane’s red card, but I will stick with my original reaction on Twitter about the decision to send him off. I know all the arguments about a reckless challenge endangering an opponent and intent not coming into it, but the keeper was out of the box, and Mane was concentrating solely on the ball.

With his pace, he must have believed he would win the ball and so it was an accidental collision, with no reckless endangerment.

?? ?? YOU’LL probably all want to get on the emergency number and send a doctor around, but I think Arsenal will be quietly confident about getting a result at Stamford Bridge.Seriously, they are more than capable, especially if Alexis Sanchez has stopped sulking and is ready to show why City were willing to pay a stupid amount of money for him.He makes them tick. He has that match-winning quality and the tools to do real damage to Chelsea’s defence. He did it a year ago when he and Ozil destroyed Antonio Conte’s men. Yes, that was at the Emirates, but the pair have the quality to do it again on the break. If you see Sanchez throwing his hands in the air in the first few minutes, getting stroppy because he has not had the right pass or something has gone wrong, then get your money on Chelsea. But, if not, then maybe he is ready to do what he should have done from the start – make other teams interested in buying him.Let’s face it, he still wants to leave and in January he can sign a pre-contract with another club. So, why not go out there and generate as much interest as possible?I do not say it lightly that Arsenal have a chance because I know Chelsea are heading back on the right lines of last season, with a mean defence and some incisive play of their own on the break.Yet, I still have a feeling for Arsenal. They had a bad start, but it was a big win for them on Thursday night – and getting something from Stamford Bridge would be massive.
