FOXES WILL LAND SILVA THIS TIME

- BY NEIL MOXLEY

LEICESTER have won their fight to sign Adrien Silva.

The Foxes have been sweating on a ruling from FIFA on the £22million transfer of the midfielder – and it is set to be positive.

According to sources close to the deal, the move has been given the green light. The highly rated Sporting Lisbon midfielder (above) was hurriedly targeted as a replacement for Danny Drinkwater, who left for Chelsea on deadline day in a £30m deal.

But Leicester officials failed by 14 seconds to submit the paperwork on time – and appealed against the decision not to allow the move to go through.

Leicester’s lawyers have been busy arguing the case — and it now appears the club will formally announce the signing early this week.
