RALLY ROUND

-

BARNSLEY owner Patrick Cryne’s poignant and powerful match-day programme revelation that he’s living on “borrowed time” stirred deep emotions. Terminally-ill Cryne (below), who has bowel cancer, admits he doesn’t expect to survive the season. What’s uplifting about Cryne’s brave battle with this cruel disease is the way football fans from all over the country have rallied to support him. Rivalries were suspended to send out the message: Cancer has no colours.
