Court shame of bungling car criminal

-

A THIEF who parked a stolen car outside his home was shamed by a judge who told him: “You’re a burglar – but not a very good one.”

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard how Steven Salt was arrested after police found the missing Volvo and then raided his home.

They discovered all the other stolen goods neatly stacked inside his flat in Blythe Bridge, Staffs.

He had even tried to buy an Armani watch for £128 using a stolen Argos credit card. The court heard it was part of a crime spree he carried out last October.

Salt, 40, was jailed for three years.
