Mystery of boy, 2, found alone in shop
A BOY of two was at the centre of a mystery last night after he walked into a corner shop on his own.
The toddler, who had not been reported missing, was described as scared and only able to say the word “mama”.
His plight led to a desperate search for his parents in Higher Ince, Wigan, with police convinced something had happened to them. But five hours later the little boy’s mother was found.
A police spokesman said: “We have identified a parent and the boy is safe and doing well.
“A woman has been arrested on suspicion of neglecting a child.”
