Limb thieves must step up

We all know moped gangs are heartless. But how much of a scumbag do you have to be to heap more misery on a woman who has already suffered some of the worst blows fate can deal? OK, when they made off with Victoria Milligan’s case the thieves didn’t know it contained her prosthetic legs. But they must by now be aware from the news coverage that Victoria, 45, didn’t just lose a limb in a horrific boat accident four years ago. She also lost her husband Nick and her eight-year-old daughter Emily. Somehow she managed to rebuild her life and works as a personal trainer. Except she can’t work without the stolen limbs. I don’t expect the thieves to go to a police station and confess. But if they had a shred of humanity they’d have left their haul somewhere it could be found by now.
