I’m so scared Ferne on life as a single mum after confronting jailed acid attacker ex
New mum Ferne McCann has revealed she is so lonely, sad and scared that she cries every single day. The ex-Towie star, who gave birth to baby daughter Sunday last month, says she’s dreading her first Christmas as a single mother and how life is “hell”.
Ferne, a presenter on This Morning, spills out her emotions as the father of her baby, drug dealer Arthur Collins, is behind bars awaiting sentence for an acid attack on 14 nightclubbers.
Cradling tiny Sunday, she breaks down, saying: “You find out you are pregnant, you are so excited but then your whole life is turned upside down. “It was absolute hell and it is hell.” Distraught Ferne, 27 – who took her baby, aged just two weeks, to see Collins in jail for the first and last time to say he would never see them again – says: “People have their opinion and you are scrutinised for different decisions you make. It is really difficult. I haven’t done anything. I shouldn’t care about all the negative comments.
“There is not a day goes by that I haven’t cried. It’s for so many reasons, it’s because I’m scared, I feel lonely, I feel sad.”
Ferne was talking in a new TV documentary, Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, which airs this week.
She adds: “I am just looking forward to getting this year out of the way and putting my main focus on Sunday.”
Collins will be sentenced next week. ■■Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, is on ITVBe, Tuesday at 9pm
