TAXI RAPIST AT WEDDING

- BY PATRICK HILL and AMY SHARPE

STRIPPED naked but for a tiny thong, leering black cab rapist John Worboys poses with a bride at a wedding night party.

The serial sex attacker, whose release on parole has caused public outrage, is then filmed biting her bottom in his days as a male stripper.

A few years later Worboys, now 60, was to embark on six years of terror in which police believe he attacked up to 100 women in the back of his London taxi.

Last night the wedding couple, who do not want to be named, told of their revulsion at unwittingly involving him at their big day in 1991.

The bride said: “My sister hired him as a surprise gift thinking it would be a laugh. It isn’t now. It makes me sick knowing that evil man was at my wedding day in my living room among family and friends. That’s my wedding video and it’s cast a horrendous shadow over that day. I’m even more horrified to think he’ll now be released.” Worboys, suspected of being Britain’s worst ever serial rapist, is set to be freed after serving only 10 years of an indeterminate sentence handed down in April 2009. He was convicted of 19 offences against 12 women including a rape between 2002 and 2008. But police fear his list of victims, drugged and attacked on their late night journeys home, could be as many as 100. He tricked passengers into drinking spiked champagne by lying that he had just won the lottery. All this horror lay ahead of him during this stint as a stripper.

As wedding guests cheered, he made crude jokes about “having it away behind the bicycle shed” with the bride.

In the five-minute clip, Worboys, who called himself Terry the Minder, arrived at the reception in St Albans, Herts, in a suit.

He kicked off his act with a string of lewd jokes, including a racist one, before stripping to a pink thong and telling his audience he’s “a big boy”.

Then he pulled out a whip and bent the bride over before biting her bottom. At one point, he added chillingly that she had begged him to hurt her. The bride said: “Knowing what he did to countless defenceless women makes me shudder when I watch it. To think that he touched me.”

Her husband told us when Worboys was caught they “recognised him instantly”. He added: “We are appalled he’ll be released. We want everyone to see him for what he is.”

Justice Secretary David Lidington yesterday ordered an inquiry into how the Parole Board makes its decisions.

He said that the way the Board behaved over Warboys “must have reawakened the most appalling memories” for his victims. “There is a strong case to review how to allow greater openness about the decision-making process,” he said. “We need to ensure victims are both heard and, if they wish, kept informed.”

It makes me shudder when I watch it knowing what he did THE BRIDE ON VIDEO’S ‘HORRENDOUS SHADOW’
