£4M LOTTO WINNER ON
THE taxi driver who scooped £4million on a scratchcard wants to reunite with the children she says rejected her for being transgender – but has warned them: “I don’t want fake love”.
Mum-of-four Melissa Ede, 57 – who goes ghost-hunting as a hobby – also told how a rival spook chaser had once sent her death threats calling her a “freak tranny”.
And she vowed to use her Lotto win as a platform to help other LGBT people facing discrimination and abuse.
She said: “I’ve been through a lot. Now I’m in a position where I can do something to help others.”
Melissa has children aged 19, 29, 30 and 39.
She discovered after a DNA test on the Jeremy Kyle Show that the youngest was not hers.
But the former welder said it would have been “a dream” if any of them had come to her before her win and said, “Dad, I want you back in my life”.
Now, she says, she would worry they “only want my money”. But she said she was disappointed by reports she had snubbed them.
Melissa said: “I’ve spoken to a couple of them after the win but I’m going to wait for things to settle down for a few weeks before I speak to them again.
“Money is not the answer to anything. If you love each other that’s more important.
“I’ve not once said I’m snubbing my children. What I said is that if anybody thinks they can come back into my life because I’ve got £4million and not because they want to come back into my life – because they want to see their parent again – then they’ve got another think coming.
If anybody thinks they can come back into my life because I’ve got £4m, think again MELISSA EDE ON HOPES OF REUNITING WITH HER CHILDREN… FOR LOVE
