I’m not a porn star

Webcam sex claims are ‘laughable’ says former soccer bad boy Pennant

- BY JOHN CROSS

EX-SOCCER bad boy Jermaine Pennant has hit back at reports he has become a porn star – condemning them as “laughable”.

The former Liverpool and Arsenal star said he is furious at claims he took part in webcam sex sessions with his glamour model wife Alice Goodwin.

He said he is concerned at their impact on his family life – and promised he will set the record straight in his autobiography, due out soon.

Pennant, 35, said: “Calling me a porn star and putting it on the front page of their paper is just a joke.

“The problem is some people will actually believe I’m in the porn industry.

“I’ve not had a perfect life and my book, Mental, will let the public read my chequered past. But I’m not – and will never be – a porn star. It’s laughable. I’m a married man living with my wife and stepdaughter. The major concern for me and Alice is the influence all of this has on family and friends.

“Our lawyers are dealing with the situation. This kind of thing needs to stop. Just because I’m an easy target doesn’t give anyone the right to write stories like that.

“There’ll be lots of headlines when my book comes out and I’ll happily take any stick that comes with that. I’m a lot of things but not a porn star.”

Pennant joined Arsenal from Notts County aged 15 and later became the Gunners’ youngest first-team player.

He helped Liverpool reach the 2007 Champions League Final.

But he once played for Birmingham City wearing an electronic tag after a prison sentence for drink-driving.

He is said to have left his last club, non-league Billericay Town, last month.
