THE GOOD, THE DAD & THE UGLY Passionate Conte fired up again after roasting from his old man!

ANTONIO CONTE will be back at his barking best on the Old Trafford touchline after a rollicking from his old man reignited his inner-fire.

Cosimo Conte called his son after Chelsea’s 4-1 defeat by Watford earlier this month and complained that he hadn’t recognised the passive figure in the visitors’ technical area that day.

In the three games since, the Blues boss has been as lively as ever, not least against Barcelona on Tuesday when watching him was a spectator sport.

Conte, who comes face to face with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho for the first time since their war of words last month, said: “My wife and daughter wouldn’t recognise me if I stood still on the touchline.

“A lot of times, I start the game with the idea to try to enjoy the game, to stay sitting down and to enjoy the game in this way.

“But it’s not the same, not the same for me, for my players, especially for my players, and especially for the fans.

“And for my father, because my father for Conte with United and Manchester City up next and, after Crystal Palace, the return leg of Chelsea’s Champions League last-16 tie with Barca.

But Conte insists it isn’t just those big games in which the fire burns bright.

He added: “You must have passion in every game. If you play against Barcelona, or a lower team, it doesn’t matter. Honestly, I don’t think that my passion was less against Watford.

“For sure, it was a strange night for everyone, but I don’t think my passion was less. My passion must always be the same, if we play against an important team or against another team who are less important.” Naturally, calm is restored much quicker when his side are triumphant. Conte said: “After the game, if we win, there is a great peace in myself. This is the moment I find peace completely in my mind, in my body.” And Conte has challenged Eden Hazard to maintain the form he showed against Barcelona for the rest of the season. Conte said: “Eden is performing well – he’s scoring, but he can score more and he has the possibility to improve his level.”
