GERS’ RUDE STEALTH

-

RANGERS boss Graeme Murty saw his side move to within six points of Celtic but dismissed any idea of a title challenge.

Gers won 2-0 at Hearts with goals from Jamie Murphy and Russell Martin.

Celtic take on third-place Aberdeen at Pittodrie today but Murty would not be drawn on a bid to catch them.

He said: “They are still the team to beat at the top of the table. We will just concentrate on us and make sure we finish the season as best we can.”

Hibernian head coach Neil Lennon (below) branded the standard of refereeing in Scotland “Mickey Mouse” after being sent to the stand during his side’s 2-2 draw against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Lennon was ordered off by Kevin Clancy after the hosts were awarded a penalty for handball against Ryan Porteous, and he reacted by sarcastically clapping in the referee’s face before being escorted away by a colleague. Kris Boyd netted the rebound to his saved spotkick to earn a point. Hibs were two-up inside nine minutes via Florian Kamberi and Porteous, Jordan Jones pulling one back.
