Library book sale scandal

-

MILLIONS of books from shut libraries are being flogged off cheaply.

Campaigners say the library books bought at public expense are ending up on shopping websites.

Latest figures show more than 470 libraries have shut since the Tories came to power in 2010.

The Library Association’s Nick Poole said taxpayers risk “paying for books that are sold and no longer available to borrow”.
