20-hour wait for tow truck
A PORSCHE 911 driver waited nearly 20 hours to be recovered after his car radiator sprang a leak.
Andrew Warner pulled off the M25 into services to call the RAC at 6pm.
But it was not until 12.30pm the next day that a recovery truck finally arrived at Clacket Lane Services in Surrey.
Mr Warner, who lives 60 miles away in Witham, Essex, said: “It was 23 hours all in all by the time I got home.”
The RAC said it could have done “much more to improve our communication with him” and understood “how frustrating this must have been”.
