There WILL be world tour, says Geri hubby
WHAT does Geri Horner’s husband really, really want? A Spice Girls’ reunion, of course.
As the band’s mega-fan, Christian Horner has let slip that there WILL be a Spice Girls world tour.
It comes after talks of a reunion hit an all-time low when Victoria Beckham, 43, insisted she wouldn’t be trotting round the globe any time soon.
But speaking at the Australian Grand Prix, Christian says: “I think there will be a Spice Girls world tour.
“Geri is very committed to it and I would happily go to see it.
“A lot of people, fans, want a world tour so despite what has been said, it wouldn’t surprise me if it went ahead.”
Formula One boss Christian, 44, has always been a fan of the girl group and fancied Ginger Spice, 45, way before they tied the knot in 2015.
He and millions of others were delighted when the band – including Mel C, 44, Mel B, 42, and Emma Bunton, 42 – met up at his house in February.
But his hopes were dashed when Victoria told Vogue: “I’m not going on tour, the girls aren’t going on tour. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.” And Mel C added: “Victoria has been quite vocal, it’s really not something she wants to do at this time. I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky.” Last week there were reports that a “superhero-themed movie, working on the ‘girl power’ message” was being shopped to potential production partners. If that happens, Christian will have to make do with Geri performing in their front room...
