Liam’s bleedy eye

Tears as he meets daughter for first time after 19 years

- BY HALINA WATTS Showbiz Editor

LIAM Gallagher had a secret first meeting with his teenage daughter TWO WEEKS before their Rolling Stones encounter – and wept as he told her: “I’m so proud of you.”

The rocker had agreed to finally get to know Mollie Moorish, 19, after they both attended the same Brit Awards party in February… and avoided each other.

A source said: “For Liam, that was a moment of realisation – it was getting silly. He has this amazing daughter who he had never met.”

Liam tweeted a picture this week after his Rolling Stones gig, with Mollie and his sons Lennon, 18, and Gene, 16.

But we can reveal the dad and daughter’s emotional first meeting took place weeks earlier, at the Red Lion and Sun pub a short walk from the North London home Liam shares with girlfriend Debbie Gwyther. Mollie’s mum Lisa had organised the get-together through Debbie.

The source added: “Liam wanted to know all about Mollie’s life – and she had a lot of questions for him.

“He told her how proud of her he was, they were very honest with each other.

“After a few hours it got very emotional. Liam shed some tears and so did Mollie. It was heartbreaking in many ways, but it’s brought them together.”

SOFTENED

Mollie’s mum Lisa had a fling with Liam in 1998, when he was married to Patsy Kensit. The source said: “Liam and Lisa have never seen eye to eye. But both sides have softened over the last year.

“Liam has confronted a lot of the dramas in his life. He’s not proud of some of his actions and wants to make things right.” Mollie saw Liam, 45, perform live for the first time on Tuesday night, as he supported the Rolling Stones.

She was joined by the singer’s sons Lennon and Gene, who already see her as a “big sister”. The source added: “They all get on so well, it is very cute to see.”

Model Mollie has also met her uncle Noel.

Speaking frankly in an interview last year with GQ, Liam revealed he was ready to “welcome” Mollie into his world.

Claiming his toxic relationship with Lisa was behind his absence in Molly’s life, the former Beady Eye frontman said: “The kid, I haven’t seen.

“But if I met her, she’d be cool. She’s welcome in my world, without a doubt. I just think she’s best off with her mum.

“If it happens, it happens. Certainly, wouldn’t turn her away. Let it be.” Meanwhile both Lennon and Gene were looking like a chip off the old block as they also watched Liam perform on Tuesday.

Model Lennon, who Liam had with actress Patsy Kensit, 50 – his first wife – chugged on a bottle of beer as he brooded by the side of the stage.

And Gene, whose mum is All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, 43, was seen playing on his phone as his rock star dad supported the Stones at the London Stadium.

It got very emotional. Liam shed some tears, and Mollie did as well SOURCE CLOSE TO OASIS ROCKER LIAM ON REUNION
