NIGEL THOMPSON MARJORIE YUE Have your say on the best hols stay

- BY NIGEL THOMPSON

Would you like a free holiday? Of course you would! Cast a vote in this year’s travel Oscars and you could bag a fantastic getaway for absolutely nothing.

Public voting for the prestigious 2018 British Travel Awards opens tomorrow and runs until September 30 – and it’s where you can say who is the best of the best in the UK travel industry.

These awards are the most coveted in the business – because they’re voted for by YOU, the people who spend their hard-earned money on travel products and services.

Categories include staycation attractions and accommodation, overseas tour operators, cruise lines, airlines and hotels. You can also vote for price comparison websites, currency exchange, airport parking and travel insurance.

Everyone who joins in the BTAs goes into a draw for a treasure trove of fabulous giveaways worth tens of thousands of pounds. Just look at some of what’s on offer already, with more being added regularly: A seven-night Danube river cruise with Titan worth £3,200. A £5,000 gift card from James Villa Holidays to choose a trip in more than 50 destinations. A seven-night £2,500 French Alps winter sports trip with Ski Amis. A Devon break worth up to £1,000 with Blue Chip Holidays. A three-night stay at a Natural Retreats luxury Yorkshire Dales lodge with free welcome hamper, worth a total of £800. A seven-night villa break in Kefalonia with Ionian & Aegean Island Holidays worth £2,000.

Winners of the 83 BTAs – the largest consumer-voted award programme in the UK – will be announced at a special gala evening in London in November.

Visit britishtravelawards.com to see how to join in (you can vote in just one category if you wish).

And get an extra go in the draw by taking part in a no-obligation survey.
