‘Girl, 12, poisoned brother, 4’ Marmite ice-cream fright

A 12-YEAR-OLD girl tried to poison her four-year-old stepbrother because her mother “loved him more”, it is claimed.

The mum confronted the girl after finding Skype messages saying she was going to use cleaner to “get rid of him”.

She called police to their home after the stepbrother became sick.

The unnamed girl confessed to putting Mr Clean in the child’s water and forcing him to drink. She told police she did it because she thought her mother loved the boy more.

Officers in Oak Grove, Kentucky, US, arrested the girl. She was taken to hospital for evaluation and charged with attempted murder.

A judge will now decide if she is moved to a jail. The little boy survived but police said he may have internal injuries. HOMESICK Brooklyn Beckham has quit his New York photography course after a year so he can zoom back to his family.

The 19-year-old started the four-year course in September last year at the world-renowned Parsons School of Design.

He told pals months ago he wanted to leave – but decided to stick it out to the end of term.

Brooklyn, the eldest of David and Victoria’s four children, has deferred the course for an internship with a respected British photographer, whose name remains a secret.

Sources say his Spice Girl mum is delighted to have her boy back – telling friends she “absolutely hated” being separated from him.

A source said: “It sounds as if he was truly homesick and was feeling lonely out there.

“He adores his family, in the end it was the lure to come back to them all that swung it – and the prospect of a terrific internship. “Victoria is absolutely delighted at the news and couldn’t contain herself when it was all coming to plan – to have Brooklyn back under the same roof is a dream come true for her.” The source said Victoria, 44, was “thrilled” at Brooklyn’s return, adding: “She was telling pals she couldn’t believe how much she missed him and hated to be separated from him.” Brooklyn was spotted at last weekend’s Wireless Festival in London with new girlfriend Lexy Panterra, 29, a dancer and YouTube star. The teenager had set his sights on the prestigious school, based in New York’s Greenwich Village, after releasing his book of photos, What I See, last year. Slammed as a “vanity project”, one critic said the book had “terrible photos and worse captions”. The Beckhams are due to fly to Miami this week so ex-England ace David, 43, can focus on his Miami MLS soccer project. That will give Brooklyn time for some more focusing of his own – catching up with siblings Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13 and Harper, seven. LOVE it, hate it, stick a Flake in it – Marmite ice-cream has gone on sale.

Two flavours, an intense one called Marmite XXX and a more subtle version, have been released to mark National Ice Cream Day, which takes place today.

Marmite maker Unilever has teamed up with Makcari’s, a parlour in Herne Bay, Kent, which already sells scoops of mushy pea and tomato ketchup ice-cream.

DREAM

Brand manager Camilla Williamson said: “Thousands of people slather Marmite on their toast each morning.

“But when the sun is out, we know Marmite lovers are looking for new ways to indulge while keeping cool.”

The yeasty spread was introduced in 1902 and has annual sales topping £25million. Last year, Unilever launched Marmite flavour Easter eggs and popcorn.
