Jackman, 50, was so impressed with Robbie that he invited him to sing at his 02 leg of his world tour, with Rob, 45, calling the experience a “career highlight”. Now the Oscar nominee wants to take him along for the ride on the sequel.

An LA source tells me: “The Robbie and Hugh bromance is just going from strength to strength. Hugh wants space to be made for them to do a number and sing and act in his Greatest Showman sequel.

“Hugh and others are staying quiet until deals with Fox Studios are secured, but he is going to be a producer, which means he’ll have a say on the cast. Robbie even doing one number would be fun.”

During their London duets, Robbie said: “I love Hugh Jackman and I have a man crush on him. Me and Hugh have good chemistry together.”

Hugh meantime praised Robbie at his 02 show before they dueted on Land Of A Thousand Dances and Angels. He said: “To me, not only is he one of the greatest entertaine­rs alive today, but one of the greatest entertaine­rs of all time.”
