Grayson in a real fury as Pool crumble
Blackpool’s Sullay Kaikai scored the fastest goal of the season in League One, after just 71 seconds against Coventry City. BLACKPOOL boss Simon Grayson slammed his side for throwing away a two-goal lead and their unbeaten record.
Grayson highlighted a “lack of professionalism” as Coventry City fought back to win a St Andrew’s thriller.
Super sub Callum O’Hare – on loan from Aston Villa – grabbed a dramatic 90th-minute winner as the Sky Blues moved joint-top of the table.
But Blackpool looked to be in charge in the first half when Sullay Kaikai scored with a volley after a minute and then powered home a second in the 38th minute.
After that, though, it was all Coventry and d they were level before the break as Blackpool suddenly crumbled.
Matty Godden poached his fourth goal of the season after a mix-up at the heart of the Blackpool defence.
And four minutes later, Wesley Jobello crashed an equaliser into the roof of the net.
Blackpool looked to be taking a point home but then Nathan Delfouneso’s injury reduced them to 10 men with all their subs used.

Grayson (below) moaned: “We were in a really strong position.
“We had a two-goal advantage, we looked really secure defensively, and were good going forwards.
“Then, due to a lack of professionalism to a certain extent, and a lack of reaction, we’ve lost the game.
“I wouldn’t have minded if Cove Coventry had played th through us and got s some good goals, but they were balls into the box we should have dealt with.
“We gave them a lif lifeline before half-time and it was a hugely disappointing loss.”
Coventry boss Mark Robins, whose team are unbeaten, said: “It was a strange game. But to come back from two goals after the way the game started was outstanding.
“It showed great character and to come in 2-2 at half-time gave them belief and changed the whole dynamic of the game.
“The manner of the performance is something we can be proud of. They came back from a kick in the teeth when we had a goal disallowed for offside. I’m told it wasn’t.”
