You don’t have to be Caitlyn Jenner to get into Springbrook National Park, the sub-tropical jungle location for ITV’s I’m A Celebrity.
In the ancient Gondwana Rainforests and 65 miles down the coast from Brisbane, the park has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1994.
Thousands of years ago the forest covered much of the continent and today its spectacular woodland and breathtaking waterfalls are home to many species of interesting wildlife and plants.
And while you can’t camp in Dungay Creek, where the series is currently being filmed, you can pitch your tent at the Settlement – the only camping area in the park – provided you get a camping permit and pay the fees.

Ultra-modern and hi-tech, on my visit it featured Aussie institution Margaret Olley ( 19232011) alongside the cutting-edge, overtly political art of Ben Quilty.
Despite being of different eras, the pair were close friends – and their two shows complemented each other perfectly.
With such homegrown cultural and sporting celebrities, Brizzy has a wealth of experiences to feast on – all worth saving up those dingo dollars for.
