A load more celebrities are about to follow Ant and Dec on a life-changing journey.
We can reveal plans are in the pipeline for a whole series after the success of ITV’s one-off programme Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey.
And the show is bound to rival the BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are?.
The Geordie duo, both 43, were left shocked and sobbing after delving into their family history for the telly special.
They embarked on a two-year journey with expert genealogists and historians to follow their maternal and paternal bloodlines, and eventually met their long-lost relatives.
The I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! hosts even discovered they descended from Irish royalty. Take that, After rave reviews, producers have started to approach well-known names, with many intrigued to find out where they came from. Top ITV figures are in the frame, such as

A telly insider said: “Ant and Dec’s DNA Journey was a huge hit. Everyone was delighted with it so conversations about doing more began.
“They want to attract some of TV’s biggest names to delve into their family history. Who knows what surprises could be thrown up on the way? It’s sure to make brilliant telly. It’s early days but execs are hopeful they can make it happen.”
Filming for DNA Journey was shelved for two years so Ant could go to rehab after he his drink-drive drama in 2017.
But the show was a ratings winner, with Ant McPartlin candidly discussing his addiction struggles and how it impacted his 31-year friendship with Declan Donnelly.
Viewers were left in tears as Ant gushed his mate meant “the world” to him.
Dec said he’d never cried so much on telly in his whole life. And we do love to see celebs showing real emotion. Almost as much as we like to see them eat kangaroo bums.

“I wasn’t that drunk but enough drunk for me not to drink any more,” she said.
“I’d spent all my friends as godparents on my first child so Billy had 11 godparents. I thought for Nell, ‘Well, if I give her Prince William that would cover.’
“He just said, ‘You don’t want me to be godfather to your child’. And I left.”
