January... the most boring month, filled with booze bans, bad TV and grim weather. But Brian May says it is the best time to go vegan. The 72-year-old Queen rocker, below, says: “Starting on the first of January I will be doing VEGANUARY, which means I will eat only vegan food for that month. After that, I will take a view on whether to continue or not.
“My reasons? 1) to lessen the suffering of animals. 2) To lessen the load on our planet. 3) For my health.”
I tried it but gave up after two weeks – succumbing to milk chocolate...

Cheryl Tweedy has admitted she doesn’t know how to do housework.
The singer, 36, blames her lack of cleaning skills on her years as part of Girls Aloud.
She says: “I was in a band at 19, so I never learned.
“I can wipe the surfaces down — and I know this is ridiculous — I’m not good at cleaning. My cleaner is a godsend.”
Cheryl, who is back on TV next Saturday on BBC1 series The Greatest Dancer, is also busy bringing up Bear, her two-year-old son with ex Liam Payne.
She said: “He’s just done his potty training, so I’m glad that’s over.
“He had the odd meltdown but he’s a really good boy.”
I hope Chezza’s cleaner got spoilt this Christmas...
