Tory councillor a porn bot clot He’s suspended after complimenting buttocks
A TORY councillor has landed in bot water for flirting online with a fake woman generated by a computer.
Colin Elcock, 73, has been suspended for sending a randy message to a porn bot, – a Twitter account that looks like it is run by a scantily-clad female.
When a picture of the “woman’s” buttocks was uploaded, a message from Mr Elcock’s account appeared saying: “Bloody hell wow! Hello.”
He was suspended for 21 days on Friday by his local Conservative group in Dudley, West Mids, after a shocked web user reported the councillor’s post.
Married Mr Elcock is also being investigated for sending a message asking if all Iranians are “on the dole”.
In another he said Islam is “domination not integration”.
Last night the Tory was full of remorse. He said: “I want to apologise for my recent comments on social media.
“I understand they were insensitive and may have caused offence. I am sorry.”
The Tory head office has been alerted to the complaint. A meeting will be held on January 25 to decide if Mr Elcock will face further disciplinary action.
He was also reported to Dudley Council, where Labour councillor Pete Lowe called for him to stand down.
The Tory-run council’s leader Patrick Harley said: “The 21-day period allows local conservatives and CCHQ to consider the suitability of Councillor Elcock holding a position which is representative of the party.”
“This type of conduct does not reflect the values of the modern Conservative Party.”
