BEATLES legend Paul McCartney is hooked on TV shopping channels and admits he would buy things Eight Days A Week if he could.

Sir Paul, worth £820million, flicks the telly on after hours in the studio.

Before he knows it, he is gripped by “exciting” items like the German stain remover Didi Seven – only to be reined in by bemused wife Nancy , 60.

Paul, 77, says: “I love watching TV. Not series. I prefer just easy television and Nancy makes fun of me for it.

“Nancy calls it the ‘Paul will watch anything department.’ She’s right. In America, I watch The Shopping Channel. For me, it’s kind of exciting. I get hooked. I have to resist buying everything.

“There’s some stuff called

Didi Seven. It cleans everything. I say

‘I need a can!’ But Nancy will say ‘Are you sure?’” The coronavirus pandemic means Sir Paul’s upcoming world tour is at risk.

He was also due to have headlined Glastonbury, which has already been axed. It means

MOST people can’t wait to get rid of their in-laws – but Gregg Wallace says he’s moved his in for good.

The MasterChef star shares his home with Italian wife Anna, 34, and her parents, Rina and Massimo, and says: “I’m very fortunate.”

Along with 11-month-old Sid and 23-year-old Libby from his second marriage, Gregg reckons they’re just one big happy family.

“There are five of us and a baby. And two little dogs. We’re full,” he says.

“Not because of the lockdown – we were all here anyway.”

Gregg says everyone helps with the cooking at his Kent farmhouse and reveals that most afternoons the family enjoy “a long walk” together. He adds: “One benefit of having the in-laws here is help looking after Sid. He’s energetic.”

As is 55-year-old Gregg, who lost four stone after sticking to a fitness regime. “I want to look even more lean,” he says. “I’d like to move my life into the world of fitness.”

yet more TV – which at least gets him through the long and winding days.

He adds: “It’s relaxing. It’s nice to escape and sometimes a bit of easy TV is great. You don’t have to think about anything. I get home and just flop, turn the TV on, flick around. I love Gogglebox and comedy shows like Would I Lie To You?”

Sir Paul, who owns a 1,500-acre home in East Sussex, says his love of animals also helps him chill out. He says: “I have a horse called Moonstar, who is great. I’ve ridden him for years so we know each other very well. It’s always a great relaxation to go out into the fields and the woods.

“It’s a big farm with some fabulous trails, a lot of which I made. I’d go into the forest, take my Land Rover, pull my chainsaw out and clear paths – normally following animal paths or overgrown tracks made by forestry workers years before – so I’d make them into horse trails.

“Very exciting when you’ve joined one trail up to another.”

Then he loves to Get Back home… and switch the TV on again.
