Dad: Nothing done to stop terror
THE dad of a 7/7 bomber warns that British authorities are still failing to stop extremists grooming new recruits.
Mahmood Hussain, 65, has spoken out 15 years after his son Hasid and three fellow terrorists killed 52 in the 2005 London suicide bomb attacks.
Hasib, 18, is believed to have been radicalised at 15 by 7/7 plot ringleader Mohammed Sidique Khan, 30, after joining his gym.
Mr Hussain said: “Nobody is doing anything to stop radicalisation. I never noticed the change in my son. When they employ imams there should be strict background checks to make sure they do not radicalise people.” Hasib bombed a bus in Tavistock Square killing 14, including himself. Retired factory worker Mahmood said victims of the atrocity “are always in my mind”.
