Porpoise got stuck in surf

A LIFEBOAT crew rescued a porpoise trapped in rolling waves on a beach.

Southport Lifeboat volunteers pushed the 5ft adult back into deeper waters at Birkdale, Merseyside, helped by British Divers Marine Life Rescue.

They let it recover before allowing it to swim away.
