The shape of things to come
Don’t write off the travel industry yet. TopCashback reported a surge in travel enquiries and bookings after the lockdown was first eased, with the majority of bookings for breaks in 2020.
More than two-thirds were for staycations, which could be the shape of things to come for a while until air travel fully returns.
■ Divorce is about to become less of a drain on finances thanks to a new bill which aims to make the process less acrimonious, time-consuming and costly, and reduce the impact on children.
If given royal assent, from autumn 2021 divorce will be possible on the grounds of irretrievable breakdown.
Currently couples must be separated for at least two years or go through a wearying process.
