Newton’s a bargain

CAM NEWTON can make the New England Patriots an immediate Super Bowl threat in the post-Tom Brady era.

Quarterback Newton, the 2015 NFL MVP has battled injuries for two years, which led to his release by the Carolina Panthers.

But former NFL star Jason Bell reckons the Patriots have snapped up a brilliant bargain.

He added: “This is an outstanding move for them, and catapults the Patriots to become a serious threat again after Brady’s exit.

“Cam is an incredible QB – if he stays healthy.”
