CUT-PRICE ANT MUSIC TO EARS

- BY NEIL MOXLEY

LEICESTER CITY will rival AC Milan to sign Wigan defender Antonee Robinson.

The Foxes are looking to take pre-emptive action should Ben Chilwell be enticed away from the King Power Stadium.

And a cut-price move for USA left-back Robinson is on the cards after the shock news that the Latics have been forced into administration this week. Robinson (right),

22, was due to join Serie A giants Milan at the end of the season after returning to Paul Cook’s first-team squad following surgery.

But the money troubles at the DW Stadium mean that Wigan will no longer be calling the shots and Robinson will be up for grabs.

Leicester do have cover for Chilwell – who is rated at £80million and on Manchester

City’s radar. Veteran defender Christian Fuchs signed a new one-year deal last month, but the 34-year-old is intended as a back-up.

Pep Guardiola has long been linked with a move for England star Chilwell but may baulk at the price tag.

In case the Etihad club do take the bait Leicester need to cover themselves – and Robinson offers that for a cut-price fee.
