Jodie: I’ll do the Baftas in pyjamas

- BY JAMES DESBOROUGH

KILLING Eve star Jodie Comer is looking forward to the virtual Baftas because she can wear PJs – just like she did in the hit series.

Celebs will appear from home by web cam when the TV awards go out on July 31.

And Jodie, 27, says only her glitzy top will be seen on screen – meaning her pyjama bottoms will be well out of sight.

Jodie, who plays assassin Villanelle in the dark comedy, said: “What I kind of thought is that maybe I could do a snazzy top and pyjamas on the bottom.

“Like I have been doing for most of my Zoom calls. Oh, I have rumbled myself!”

But she admitted wearing a frock is not totally ruled out.

She chuckled: “It seems crazy to do that. I guess it is Bafta... you always have to dress up for the occasion.”

The down-to-earth Liverpudlian won the leading actress gong last year and is tipped for glory again.

Writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, 35, and co-star Fiona Shaw, 62, also picked up Baftas. Speaking to radio host Lauren Laverne, Jodie said she will return soon to work on Sir Ridley Scott’s film The Last Duel.

Filming halted in March due to Covid19. Jodie added: “The rumour is end of August, which now seems crazy that I have to go back and finish that and get back in that head space. We have only five or six weeks left, so I am itching to get my head back in the game now. It is not too long really.

“It is lovely seeing how willing everyone is to get back on track and make sure everyone is safe and comfortable above all else.”

I thought I could wear snazzy top like I have done for my Zoom calls JODIE COMER KILLING EVE STAR ON BAFTA GARB
