A good week to buy…

Tents & camping gear

Would you believe the cheapest month of the year to buy a new tent is July? You might expect the summer months to be expensive for such items due to higher demand, but it seems many retailers are already keen to slash prices.

Even though previous years’ trends have shown July is a good month to buy a tent, it’s still recommended to shop around for a good deal – especially as many more Brits are choosing to head out into the socially-distant countryside for their summer hols.

Handily, July is also the cheapest month to buy a sleeping bag and camping mat.

This week, we reckon UK consumers will be buying…

All-weather & active toys

With most kids now having broken up from school – be that home school or actual school – many of us are likely to start wondering how to keep them entertained, happy and active throughout the summer holidays.

Even national treasure Joe Wicks has finished for the summer holidays so, with PE with Joe on a hiatus, parents will have to think of new ways of making sure kids are still getting outside and active.

We predict there will be an upsurge in demand for products such as toy blasters of the Nerf gun kind, which offer a more British weather-friendly alternative to a water gun and are sure to get kids running around the park or garden all afternoon.

Other “active” toys we think might be popular are trampolines and climbing frames. Perhaps we’ll even see the great British public fall back in love with the Space Hopper?
