Saturdays singer Mollie King has joined forces with the British Dyslexia Associatio­n to campaign for increased testing and support for the condition in schools.

Dyslexia Week runs from tomorrow to highlight the problems that around one million children in the UK face at school every day.

Dyslexia is a common learning difficulty that can cause problems with reading, writing and spelling.

It’s a myth that women lose interest in sex as they enter midlife and beyond, according to new research that followed more than 3,200 women for 15 years.

“The study showed substantia­l numbers of women still highly value sex even as they get older, and it’s not abnormal,” lead researcher Dr Holly Thomas, of the University of Pittsburgh, told the The North American Menopause Society this week.

Exposure to green light of a particular wavelength and brightness may be as effective as drugs in reducing the frequency and severity of migraine, a pilot study published in the journal of the Internatio­nal Headache Society has discovered.

The researcher­s found the improvemen­ts were comparable to those that clinical trials of drug therapies for migraine have previously reported.

A new app called The Happy Club, which offers guided meditation­s, yoga classes, podcasts and one-to-one access to qualified life coaches, is being launched by Kash Desai, who as a boy in India worked 18 hours a day to support his family.

After multiple suicide attempts, he reinvented himself as a wellness guru.
