as a couple, we should celebrate wher where we are now.

“Sh She’s my queen already. Just by w walking through the I’m A Celeb gates, she’s won in life.”

The pair had a huge white weddin wedding a decade ago with 22 bridesma bridesmaids. This time Jon wants a smaller d do with 10 to 15 guests. And he’s ploughing ploug on despite Covid.

Speakin Speaking from their Manchester home, Jon Jo said: “In my head I see candles everywhere, e twinkly lights, intimate and romantic. I’m kind of happy we have these restrictions so the guest list doesn’t d get out of control.”

Jon has already bought the rings and is eyeing a tailored white suit for Bev to wear on their second big day.

But he was determined she didn’t find out what w he was up to. He said: “I’m alwa always saying ‘ Why do people bother getting their vows renewed?’ So she’ll have no idea whatsoever.

“I hope she’s pleased. I could have got this completely wrong! I’m Beverley’s fourth husband so I have to get it right.”

Bev was first wed to Paul Atkinson in 1974. Two years later, they had daughter Rebecca. In 1980, she married David Sowden and in 1989 she wed Steve Callard. They had son Josh.

But it’s Jon she credits with saving her life. He stood by her when she attempted suicide, spent months in the Priory with mental health issues and lost a fortune through business failures.

Bev’s down-to-earth approach has made her an I’m A Celebrity favourite.

But Jon says it was touch and go she even made it on to the show. He said: “It was down to the wire whether she could do it because of her hip. There were times she couldn’t actually walk.

“It’s been a shocking year. We had the hip operation that didn’t work, then the hip replacement. I’m A

Celeb was something to aim for.

“If you could have seen her 12 weeks ago you would have never have believed she is where she is now.”

Veggie Bev has had to eat fermenting fruit and tofu on the show and has been showered with cockroaches, crickets, mealworms and maggots.

But Jon reckons she might come unstuck if she’s faced with her biggest fear – spiders. He said: “While she was recovering, the smallest money spider crawled across the ceiling and she screamed. If a big spider got anywhere near her hair I think that’d be it.”

The actress is due to leave Corrie next year after 31 years on the soap.

John revealed: “Beverley wants to film a proper exit. The people who love her will want to see a proper exit, too.”

But it’s Bev’s next exit Jon has his mind on. He plans to tell her about his surprise as soon as she leaves the castle

He said: “I’m thinking about getting down on one knee, but I’ll have to pick my moment. I’ll pull her to the side and tell her – before anyone else does.”

I hope she is pleased.. I am Beverley’s fourth husband so I’ve got to get it right
