DUBOIS: I’LL Dhdfkhj RULE WORLD sdffddfs sdffdg

Destiny date... on same night as Tyson!

- By TOM HOPKINSON @tomhopkinson

DANIEL DUBOIS has warned Joe Joyce there will be nothing he can do on Saturday to alter the course of destiny.

The 23-year-old Dubois is convinced he will become heavyweight champion of the world sooner rather than later.

And, providing he deals with his great rival to c laim the vacant European crown in six days’ time, he will take a major step towards the world- level fights he craves.

Dubois said: “I’m just raring to go, this fight has been a long time coming.

“I’m just prepared to do whatever it takes to win. The last few days of training have been mapped out, we’ll tick over this week and be ready for fight night.

“And then, once we’re in the ring, it will be time to stop the talking, it will be just me and him.

“Whatever we’ve said or done, it doesn’t matter – once we’re in there, it’s time to go to work and show what I’m about.

“This is my destiny – to be a world champion – and I need to go for it and take it.”

Only one of Dubois’ 15 fights has gone the distance – the last six, like the first eight, ending early, thanks to his ferocious punch-power.

But 2016 Olympic super-heavyweight silver medallist Joyce – 12 years his opponent’s senior – will by no means be a pushover.

Dubois’ trainer Martin Bowers said: “They’re both unbeaten professionals and, in heavyweight boxing, anything can happen. We must concentrate, and

Dan has got to put in the performance of his life.

“That’s what we’re planning to do – and I’m sure that Joe’s planning the same.” Dubois added: “Everything he is going to bring, I will have an answer for.

“I’m just going to stay focused on myself and whatever comes I will be prepared for. I’ll adapt and find a way to win.”

Dubois admits there is extra incentive to win the fight, given his boyhood hero Mike Tyson is also in action against Roy Jones Jr on the

BACK Tyson fights again same night, something he never thought could happen.

Dubois said: “It’s very strange. Looking back years ago when I was watching him, I didn’t think we’d be competing on the same night.

“It’s definitely an extra motivation to think I could be reading on Sunday morning that

I’ve won and so has Mike.”

He added: “My power has been there since I was kid.

“And once I have the moment to get it out, believe me, that’s what I am going to do.”

BT Sport’s night of heavyweight boxing action on November 28 begins with Daniel Dubois v Joe Joyce on BT Sport 1 from 7:30pm. Mike Tyson v Roy Jones Jr. will be live on BT Sport Box Office from 1am and can be watched on BT TV, Virgin TV, Sky, online via the web or the BT Sport Box Office App
