SCOTT PARKER has backed keeper Alphonse se Areola to produce some e big performances for Fulham in their battle to o beat the drop.
And the Cottagers boss oss reckons the Frenchman’s n’s big-club experience will l play a key factor in keeping his club in the Premier League.
Areola, who is on loan from French giants s Paris Saint-Germain and d has had previous temporary spells with Villarreal and Real Madrid, rid, was excellent against West Ham prior to the international break.
He will need to be in equally good form in the e coming weeks as well, with tough away trips to Leicester and Manchester City following today’s visit of Everton.
Parker said: “Alphonse is going to be vitally important, he has been important for us since he came in.
“I’m fortunate enough to have two or three very experienced and exceptional keepers, but Alphonse, at the moment, has the No.1.
“In the last game, he played very well. Since he settled in now and is getting to grips with the speed of the Premier League, he has been big for us.
“When you’re a team like us this year, with the challenges we’re going to be facing, your keeper is going to need to stand up and have unbelievable performances.
“No doubt, he will do that for us and be vital. It’s big for us to have a player with the experience he has in terms of being around the top ilk of clubs in big competitions.
“He brings that experience which will help us and help the players who do not have it.
“They can take things from him and that’ll be vitally important.
“We realise the challenges we face, but at the same time I’d like to think we’ve got some quality ourselves. We can hurt Everton as well.”
