Murray in prayer for Cardinals

- BY KEITh WEBSTER

KYLER MURRAY knows there will be no second chances for Arizona tonight as they head into the final game of the regular season.

The Cardinals travel to California knowing that victory against the Los Angeles Rams guarantees them a place in the playoffs that start next Saturday.

But Murray and his teammates also know that defeat on the west coast will spell disaster and the end of their season.

The Cardinals’ quarterback, whose thrill-aminute playing style has lit up the league, reckons they will hold nothing back.

Murray said: “Everybody should relish it. All we could ask for is an opportunity to play in the playoffs. We are where we wanted to be.

“With everything that has happened this year, we still have opportunities, and everyone should embrace it and leave it all out on the field on Sunday.”

The Rams will also qualify for the playoffs should they beat the Cardinals tonight.

But they at least have a second chance.

Should they lose against Arizona, they will still snatch a playoff berth as long as Chicago lose to Green Bay – a game which is being played at the same time.

Murray is carrying a leg injury from last week’s loss to San Francisco but says the do-or-die nature of tonight’s game will ensure he is ready for action.

“There will be no holding back,” he vowed. “If we lose, I’m going to be home chilling. We win and we go to the playoffs.

“You do your job, trust the man next to you... and we will be fine.”
