Now Dua swings to dark side
Pop siren upsets fans by singing of cocaine
The pair follow each other on Instagram and last week, 22-year-old Molly – the daughter of rock star
– posted a picture of the Liverpool player, 23, kicking a ball about with a love heart next to it.
They have also been liking each other’s pictures which, at the very least, looks like some serious flirting to me.
I’m not sure what dad Liam will have to say about Molly getting close to a footballer who isn’t in his favourite team, Manchester City.
Although I’m sure he’ll be happy to see her moving on from who she split with in November.
Molly is an absolute darling, so Nathaniel is one lucky man!
But latest tune takes a darker turn – by referencing cocaine in the lyrics.
The star’s young fans could be in for a shock listening to We’re Good, which likens a rowing couple to “sleeping and cocaine”.
Fans reacted with concern at a leaked version of the tune on the OJZMusic site.
Dua sings: “We’re not meant to be like sleeping and cocaine/ So let’s at least agree to go our separate ways/ How can I judge you when you’re with/ Somebody else as long as you swear/ You won’t be p **** d when I do it myself/ Let’s end it like we should and say we’re good.”
The New Rules hitmaker has never spoken about drugs before.
After listening to the track, one fan said on Twitter: “Please, Dua, release the clean version of WG cause cocaine is just not it.”
And another added: “Dua coming for the controversy era with her cocaine lyric.”
Pop siren Dua, 25, is happily coupled up with
– the brother of models Gigi and
Bella. Sources close to the star say she didn’t write the lyrics to
We’re Good, and it isn’t about an ex-boyfriend. Meanwhile, Dua has revealed she goes tee-total to protect her voice. She said: “I’ve also stopped drinking and I don’t smoke when I’m touring.”
Dua has previously spoken about the challenges of being a role model to so many.
In March 2019, she told ITV News: “As much as I have young fans, I have young girls that are the same age as I am.
“Being a role model, for me, I will do whatever is in my ability to be able to do what is right but at the same time, I am learning and I am not perfect.”
Huss: We’d just landed in LA and were having breakfast when Sir
walks in and sits down on the table next to us. Being that 66.6% of Flawes are from Huddersfield, we HAD to go over and say hello. He was absolutely lovely. We chatted for about 15 minutes then went to collect our bags. We walked out of the restaurant and Sir Patrick Stewart was waiting for us. He asked us for a picture. That was a good day.
JC: I do jigsaws while I’m writing lyrics – it’s something I started at the beginning of lockdown to help switch off as my mind was going a million miles an hour with everything going on.
JC: A whopping £60 on a single jigsaw. It was a huge wooden puzzle in the shape of a lion’s head with all these intricate laser-cut pieces.
