Brit star ‘overwhelmed’ as favourite for six awards
Singer Tom Grennan renting from radio’s Chris Moyles but has to move after his noisy dog upset neighbours. Tom, who is releasing his second brilliant album Evering Road, tells me: “Chris is a legend but my neighbours ain’t the greatest. I’m heartbroken because they made me get rid of Marmite. The barking was too much. I rescued him from Romania and he’s my best mate.
“Chris won’t be my landlord, but I’ll be reunited with Marmite.” Ahh.
TOWIE star Georgia Kousoulou’s pet pooch Monkey is having therapy to help him prepare for the arrival of her first child.
The star, who is in a relationship with Tommy Mallet, has been playing the Pomeranian certain sounds and explaining what sex the baby is.
Georgia says: “Monkey is like my child. You play crying noises and do these techniques for when the baby comes. I’ve told Monkey it is a boy. I think if it was a girl, Monkey would be like, ‘Nah, I don’t get it’.”

She’ll stand toe to toe with music’s biggest stars at the Grammys tonight – and Brit star reckons it’s
all just a bit “bonkers”.
Dua Lipa
The 25-year-old Londoner is excited and “overwhelmed” to be a hot favourite in her six nominations this year. Dua, who will perform at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, says: “Sometimes when you say it out loud it’s a bit unbelievable and I’m a little bit overwhelmed.
“I mean, it’s bonkers, it’s mindblowing, it’s amazing. These things really only happen in your dreams, so I feel like, well, I’m hoping no one is going to wake me up and be like, ‘All right, time for school!’ or something.”
Dua earned two Grammys in 2019, including Best New Artist.
She claims that spurred her on to excel for her second album, Future Nostalgia.
“I feel like winning Best New Artist almost just pushed me to work harder,” she says. “I am like okay – I have to prove I deserve to be here.”
Future Nostalgia was the biggest album by a UK artist of 2020 and one of the biggest worldwide.
Dua called the hit-packed record a
“form of escapism” for people dealing with lockdowns in early 2020.
She adds: “When I was thinking about when to put this album out, and whether it was the right time, I was like, you know what, the reason why I did this was to get away from any outside pressures.
“And I was like, maybe it is the time to put this out and maybe it can serve as that for other people.
“It was probably the scariest decision I’ve ever made. I had no idea how it would be received, but I’m just so grateful for the response.”
Future Nostalgia and its lead single Don’t Start Now are up for three of the Grammys’ biggest awards – Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
Tonight’s event is scaled back for Covid reasons, but Dua will put her all into a show-stopping performance.
Speaking about her outfit choice, she says: “There’s a bit of skin, a bit of sparkle.” Winning combination...
