I’m in no Rash for Test call

- BY RICHARD EDWARDS

LAWRENCE OKOLIE wants to hit all the right notes against Krzysztof Glowacki when the pair finally clash on Saturday for the WBO world cruiserweight title.

The Londoner, whose fight is on after being postponed from December, has made a rap album and his Wembley Arena ring walk is likely to be to his debut track, TKO.

Okolie said: “I’m going to enjoy listening to it on the way to the ring. It switches me on.”

ADIL RAsHID is not dreaming of an Ashes series this winter despite turning the opening T20 clash into a nightmare for Virat Kohli.

The england leg-spinner opened the bowling alongside

Jofra Archer in Friday’s first clash and took 1-14 in three overs – including the prize wicket of Indian skipper Kohli for a duck.

eoin Morgan’s side cruised to an eight-wicket win but ahead of today’s second T20 match, Rashid (above) said any thoughts of a Test return are far from his mind.

Rashid, 33, has taken 60 wickets in 19 Tests but his last red-ball appearance for his country was in January 2019.

He said: “It has not actually crossed my mind yet. I’m enjoying playing white-ball cricket.

“Test cricket, that’s something maybe down the line I’ll worry about. We’ll see what happens closer to the time.”

JURGEN KLOPP is not the only one disappointed that Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are missing tomorrow – so is Wolves’ Pedro Neto.

Neto has been a bright spot in Nuno Espirito Santo’s (above) season.

But the 21-year-old wants to improve and says there would be no better people to measure himself against than the duo who are currently crocked.

He said: “I’d prefer it if Van Dijk and Gomez were playing because I want to play against the best so I can improve.

“What’s the best thing in football? When we can play with the best. That’s why I’m in this league, to show I can do my job and play my own game.”

That self-confidence is perhaps borne of a regular place in Nuno’s starting XI.

Team-mate Ruben Neves has already hailed Neto’s impact. The highly-rated midfielder believes the young winger has been the club’s best player this season. And skipper Conor Coady keeps telling the winger how far he has come.

However, Neto (right) said: “I don’t know how to say it, but I’m not bothered about that. I care about being the best and then, if other people talk about me, that’s fine. But I don’t like talking about myself.

“If they say I’m being the best, then it’s good to be e recognised.

“I know a lot ot of people of my age would like to be where I am. Coady sometimes says,

‘Look where you are at 21.’

“I thank him im and say, ‘Please don’t say that’, although it is very good to hear it.”
