PETERBOROUGH manager Darren Ferguson has challenged his side to earn 10 more wins and secure survival.

The struggling Posh netted their first goals since early November to beat Millwall.

Sub Jonson Clarke-Harris, who scored their last effort against Huddersfield, hit the decisive strike.

Peterborough are two points off safety, with just one away win all season, and Ferguson reckons success at London Road will prove key.

He said: “We’ve got 24 games left – I think we need 10 wins. That’s all we’re looking at.

“We can’t keep going on about the away form. Our home form is going to keep us in the league.

“We thoroughly deserved the win. It was just a matter of having the belief to keep going and playing the way we were.

“It was a very pleasing performance. It was good to watch. When you’re on the sidelines, watching and you’re enjoying it, it tells its own story.”

It was a bad start for Peterborough, losing defender Dan Butler to injury after just 10 minutes. And it got even worse six minutes later, when Tom Bradshaw scored from a Jed Wallace cross.

The visitors were then on the backfoot soon after taking the lead, allowing Posh to take control of the game.

The pressure finally paid off, when Danny McNamara turned the ball past his own keeer on 64 minutes before ClarkeHarris hit the winner.

Lions boss Gary Rowett said: “We conceded two goals from absolutely basic errors and you’re not going to win games when that happens.”
