Barnsley 2 Reading 2

NEILL COLLINS praised Barnsley’s resilience for coming back to earn a point at home to Reading.

Reading took the lead on two occasions through Sam Smith and Lewis Wing, with Adam Phillips and Fabio Jalo equalising for Barnsley.

Collins said: “I thought the players’ effort, attitude and resilience was fantastic and they gave everything right to the last minute.”

Reading boss Ruben

Selles added: “I don’t consider it a very good point.”

Cambridge 1 Charlton 1

GARRY MONK praised Cambridge’s fighting spirit after they drew with Charlton. The U’s trailed to Connor Wickham’s goal but equalised through Macauley Bonne.

“Four or five weeks ago, a goal like that in the first half, maybe mentally we would have suffered and not come back from it,” Cambridge boss Monk admitted.

“But I think you can see the difference in mentality in the players now.”

Cheltenham 1 Bristol Rovers 3

MATT TAYLOR was delighted to see Bristol Rovers click into gear as they brushed Cheltenham aside.

Scott Sinclair opened the scoring in the first half and Brandon Aguilera and Elkan Baggott added two more after the break before Liam Sercombe’s stoppage-time consolation for the hosts.

Rovers skipper Antony Evans also saw a first-half penalty saved. “Everyone will talk about the goals, but I thought we looked solid as a team,” boss Taylor said.

Fleetwood 2 Northampton 0

CHARLIE ADAM quickly switched focus to Tuesday night’s crucial clash at Peterborough after an impressive victory.

Despite the win – with goals from Promise Omochere and Bosun Lawal – Fleetwood remain six points adrift with three games left.

Adam said: “We can celebrate a brilliant win but we have to re-focus.”

Jon Brady said: “They played the conditions well – we didn’t.”

Oxford 5 Peterborough 0

DES BUCKINGHAM was full of praise over a “very exciting” Oxford performance after a thumping win over play-off rivals Peterborough.

Ruben Rodrigues scored twice with the other goals from a Mark Harris penalty, Josh Murphy and substitute Billy Bodin.

“That’s the best football we’ve played since I’ve been here, “said Buckingham.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: “I must admit I didn’t see that coming.”

Shrewsbury 0 Wycombe 2

MATT BLOOMFIELD was full of praise for Luke Leahy after Wycombe returned to winning ways.

The former Shrewsbury captain and Richard Kone scored late on after the home side had Tom Flanagan sent off.

Bloomfield said: “It’s very fitting for Luke.

“We made him captain because he puts so much into our football club.”

Shrewsbury boss Paul Hurst fumed: “It was a nothing performance.”

Bolton 1 Portsmouth 1

IAN EVATT believes Bolton should have claimed victory against leaders Portsmouth.

Pompey needed three points to claim the League One title and promotion, and led through Abu Kamara’s seventh-minute opener.

However, Aaron Collins levelled for the hosts.

Evatt said: “We deserved more.”

Pompey boss John Mousinho added: “Bolton deserved to win it.”

Carlisle 0 Blackpool 1

NEIL CRITCHLEY wants Blackpool to improve their decision making, despite their victory over Carlisle.

Karamoko Dembele scored the only goal of the game after just 22 seconds to keep Blackpool in the hunt for an unlikely play-off spot. Boss Critchley said: “Sometimes scoring so early can give you a false sense of security in the game.

“We were in control, but our decision making let us down. We have to improve that side of our game.”

Derby 3 Leyton Orient 0

PAUL WARNE is taking nothing for granted despite Derby opening up a four-point gap on third in the automatic promotion race.

Sonny Bradley’s brace added to Kane Wilson’s opener, and Warne said: “It’s been a good day but all it does is give us another opportunity.

“It’s in our hands but we’ve got to try and back it up with two more wins.”

Richie Wellens said: “They ran all over us.”

Lincoln 1 Wigan 2

MICHAEL SKUBALA says “distraught” Lincoln will “give it everything” to win at Oxford and keep alive their play-off hopes.

The Imps’ 16-game unbeaten run was ended by Charlie Hughes’ last-gasp strike after Daniel Mandroiu had cancelled out Jonny Smith’s opener.

Lincoln are five points behind Oxford, and Skubala added: “We’re gutted.”

Wigan’s Shaun Maloney said: “The first goal that we scored was top class.”

Port Vale 2 Exeter 4

DARREN MOORE has urged Port Vale to put the frustration of their defeat to Exeter into their next match against Wycombe.

Ethan Chislett and Baylee Dipepa had put the Valiants in charge, but a Millenic Alli double and strikes for Zak Jules and Luke Harris turned things around. “It’s about putting that energy and anger into Tuesday,” Moore said.

Exeter boss Gary Caldwell said: “I thought we were outstanding.”

Stevenage 1 Burton 2

MARTIN PATERSON hailed Burton’s character after moving three points clear of the relegation zone.

Mark Helm and Tom Hamer scored while Stevenage, forced to play with 10 men for 30 minutes after Dan Butler was sent off, pulled one back through Kane Hemmings.

Paterson said: “I am so pleased with the group because of the effort.”

Stevenage manager Steve Evans said: “It has been an incredible effort.”
