MAD WLAD Fired-up Klitschko: I don’t care about belts... I just want to beat Tyson

- Out for revenge

past years but sometimes you just want to say ‘screw it’ and want to let it go free.

“I respect the sanctioning bodies and you know, it’s frustrating sometimes. You collect the belts for many years, you’re making all those negotiations, efforts, energy, because any unification fight is a very complex process.

“You have two sanctioning bodies, two promoters, two fighters with their own ambitions. You go through a lot of processes – financial, emotional, all of this.

“You collect the titles through the years and in every fight you put them on the line. Then, boom, someone else has all the belts.

“I was just laughing about the fact that as soon as the chef leaves the kitchen, the rats are dancing on the table. But I’m just looking forward to my revenge against Fury.

“And I love that it is going to happen in his backyard.”

Klitschko will now have to wait for that chance after Fury sprained his left ankle while out on a training run in the Lake District a little under two weeks ago.

He will now be forced to rest for more than a month an and,d i in th the m meantime, bo both fighter ers’ teams w will be wwh working to hhss securehard a n new date. F Fury, 27, expla explained on Friday: “I have been to hospi hospital, had X- rays, scans and all that stuff. “They told me it’s badly sprainedid and d th that t I shouldh ld keepk off it for six or seven weeks.

“Apologies to everyone who has booked dates, but the fight will be on as soon as possible.”

Klitschko says he is expecting to face a similar kind of fight to the one he lost in November last year, when the pair first met.

He added: “Fury is not going to change. He has always been chaotic.

“On the boxing side, it’s about performance in the ring. That’s what counts. I am expectingti himhi tbto be i in perfectf t shape. He is in a very good spot in his life.

“He b e c a me world champion, he’s training really hard and he knows he is going to face a difficult challenge.

Perform

“I know what happened in the first fight and I know how to fix it.

“I truly believe we are capable of doing that.

“I need to perform – that’s what’s important. I’m relying on my experience.i IhI have hd had defeats before and after each one I came back stronger than before.

“I have had enough time to think about what was wrong last time.

“We know with the result what was happening. There was a lack of punches thrown, but it was thought about and I will fix it when we meet again.

“I haven’t needed to change a lot, just tighten a few screws. The outcome is going to look totally different.”
