Jacko doc in’
THE medic blamed for the death of Michael Jackson is being lined up to appear in this year’s I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
Dr Conrad Murray was the King of Pop’s personal physician at the time of his death in 2009 from a massive overdose of the general anaesthetic propofol. His publicist Max Markson has confirmed that the medic is in negotiations with ITV chiefs. He said: “It is true. We are talking to the show’s producers about having Conrad in the jungle for the next show.”
The revelation comes a week after Dr Murray released his memoirs – in which he made shocking claims about his superstar client’s love of young children.
Markson added: “I’m sure everyone will be fascinated to hear what Conrad has to say about his time with Michael.
“He’s a doctor, very calm and great with people and he has some extraordinary stories to tell. He’d be a great draw and I’m sure he’d be a fascinating guest for the show.”
Dr Murray has not worked since he was jailed for four years after being found guilty in 2011 of involuntary manslaughter over Jacko’s death, aged 50.
He served two years before being freed on licence. It is thought he plans to land a role on foreign TV before returning to the US to rebuild his reputation.
Murray is even said to be keen to get his medical licence back.
A source said: “He really believes he can rebuild his reputation after the controversy of the past few years.
“Becoming a practising doctor again is very much part of that plan.”
